Bucky Brooks was one of the smartest draft analysts in the industry back when he was one of the earliest guys mocking Geno Smith to the Chiefs. Now he's chopped liver, just like Mike Mayock.

Yeah, I didn't mean for that post to look like it was a response to yours. After reading yours, it reminded me that Bucky was one of the guys the Geno fans were hailing when he was one of the few having Geno going 1.1.

I think the focus on Bucky Brooks was mainly because BlackBob pointed to him as a credible source backing up Bob's assertion that Geno wasn't worth a 1st overall pick (Brooks initially mocked Joeckel to KC). Then Brooks changed his mock to Geno #1 and hilarity ensued.

I haven't really seen any "Bucky is awesome" posts.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Bucky's 1st mock in this series (this one is 6.0) had Geno Smith going to the Chiefs.

Well, I could be wrong. I don't actually think it was a mock but more of a "poll the experts" type of thing. It was really early on. I would go back and search but that would expose me to BlackBob's stupidity again so I won't.
