2014 Broncos Offseason postmortem
In the offseason Denver signed

Aqib Talib (6 years, $57 million, $26 million guaranteed)
TJ Ward (4 years, $22 million, $15 million guaranteed)
Demarcus Ware (3 years, $30 million, $20 million guaranteed)
Emmanuel Sanders (3 years, $15 million, $6 million guaranteed)

...and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth around here.

Peyton Manning's base salary next year goes from $15 million to $19 million, and Denver's penalty for cutting him would drop from $22 million to $5 million.

Denver's team was built for this season, and they have failed with a one-and-done in the postseason.

Furthermore, how did those free agents look today, when it mattered?

You should be a GM. Revis is getting 11.5 million guranteed (1 year) compared to Talib's 25.5 million guranteed over (6 years).

Talib is younger, had better stats in all categories, and didn't allow 31 points in the playoffs (being down twice by 14)...

Should add Chris Harris too I know it's not offseason but he got paid some big bucks. Plus they got some good players that might be let go.

Are they really going to have a brand new head coach, coordinator, etc with Manning at the helm? Doesn't make sense.
