Crossing the wires...

Good luck with that, CNN.

Obama didn't like the way that Fox was covering him, either. And he shunned them. I found that to be unacceptable, too.

If the courts are going to require objective rules, the WH is forced to create them. They shouldn't yield authority over the WH press room to reporters or the courts or anyone else. CNN asked for this and they got it.

Trump and his spokespeople have shown no fear of answering questions. Acosta didn't get his credentials pulled for asking questions as you've already been informed.

I'm not sure what the "don't you?" question was asking, but hopefully I've answered it.

The only reason the courts got involved is because Trump pulled Acosta's hard pass. That was unprecedented. CNN then tried to get the pass back behind the scenes, apparently. The WH refused. So, they had two choices: accept it or fight. They chose to fight.

Oh? How many times have reporters been shunned or banned by this WH for asking questions like Trump doesn't like? This wasn't the first time.

And, no, Trump has shown that he will not answer questions he doesn't like. I don't know if it's fear or not, but it's there. For example, he refused to explain how this is an invasion 400 miles from our border. There are many more examples, as you know.

I don't see why you are having a problem with my don't you question. It's pretty straightforward.

Trump wouldn't answer the question regarding how this is can be an invasion when it's 400 miles away.

Trump and his team are no different than their predecessors in refusing to give satisfying answers to all questions. What he's demonstrated that he'll do though is tolerate difficult questions like the ones Acosta asked (including Acosta's). You have unrealistic expectations of Trump that I doubt you ever had for any other President.

The WH has to protect their prerogatives. When CNN presses to prevent the WH from exercising it's authority over the press room by getting the courts involved, the WH has to do what it has to do to retain defacto control. It's the right thing to do.

Rather than saying your question was straightforward, if I didn't answer it, you'd be better off asking it in a more clear manner. As far as I know, I've already answered it.

Trump stated that it's an invasion in his opinion. Nothing more. That's tolerating a difficult question, IYO? My expectation is that all POTUS should be able and willing to explain themselves and what they state. Yes, I guess if that's too much to ask for, I'll continue to be disappointed.

I find it odd and a little disturbing that you apparently don't acknowledge that CNN really had little choice but to engage the courts after the banning.

Did you think it was wrong for Obama to shun Fox News?
