Just bought a 40" flat screen from ShopNBC
I just bought a 40" flatscreen from shopnbc for $408 total including shipping . 6 payments of $64. Did I do ok??

It's only 60hz. And those who will tell you that you can't tell the difference between that and one with 120 hz are lying. $300-$400 is cheap, but you also get what you pay for.

Shit, my 40" LG was a little over $600; but it has a fantastic pic. I wouldn't **** around with anything that isn't 120 hz.

Around Xmas this past season I got a 50in Panasonic Plasma Vierra TV 600Hz 1080p for about $650 at Costco, then it had a $100 rebate so after that it was only $550, and Panasonic is one of the better brands you can buy, along with Sony and Samsung. Those 3 IMO are the best brands for flat screens. Couldn't be happier with it.

I can't tell the difference on my smaller LCD. On the 42 incher though I can definitely tell that it is 60hz. That said, I paid $279 w/free ship and no sales tax so I'm not gonna bitch too much.
