Holy Sh*t!!! No ticket increase for 2005...

CHIEFS FREEZE TICKET PRICES FOR 2005
Jan 04, 2005, 1:00:10 PM

Kansas City Chiefs season tickets and parking will not increase in price in 2005, team President Carl Peterson announced Tuesday.

Season ticket prices for 2005 will remain at an average of $67.33 and this year are expected to rank in cost among the lower half of the league’s 32 teams, team officials believe. Last season, the team ranked 13th in average ticket price. Averages are determined from the official manifest which is presented to the NFL office in New York and factor in personal seat licenses and premiums which apply in certain stadiums. Twenty-three NFL teams currently include premium seat fees in their ticket price. Twelve teams include PSL (personal seat license) fees as well. Kansas City charges no premium or PSL fees. In addition, Kansas City is the only NFL team to offer a youth/senior reserve ticket.

The Chiefs have traditionally been among the leaders in the AFC in attendance and rank in the top three in the entire NFL. The only teams to post higher attendance figures this year were Washington and the two New York franchises. This past year’s regular season average home paid attendance was 77,876 (77,452 for all 10 games including preseason).

The only reason Washington ranks so high in attendance is the damn stadium is over 90k. Place is huge.

And growing. Snyder seems to add more seats there each year.

If KC ever builds another stadium to replace Arrowhead, it should seat 100,000. That would be cool.

That was my thought at first, but imagine what that would be like if we sucked again. Probably 50k empty seats.

Hey, they have soccer staduims in Europe with capacities of >120,000 and they get filled up. How awesome and loud would it be to hear 120,000 Chiefs fans at a home game against the Raiders.

I know of one in Mexico that big, Aztec Stadium, but most of the EPL stadiums (homes of Manchester United, Arsenal, etc) range from 30k to 70k.

They should give a 40% discount, since about 60% of the team has performed on the field the past 2 years.
