You know what, I actually didn't think Ponder was that bad at times last year. It wasn't all sunshine, rainbows and unicorns, but he played ok I think and showed me a few things at times. Does he still need to improve? Ya, sure, you betcha he does, lol! That said, I wouldn't count him out yet as being the guy in Minnesota. They need a bit of help on defense and Ponder needs more weapons around him! They didn't have enough weapons around the guy last season, and now they are even more depleted on the offensive side of the ball. And for the record, my money is on Cassel being the backup! Maybe they will draft another QB and Cassel will end up being third string. I can't imagine any actual Vikings fans would be even remotely happy about the Cassel signing. Good riddance, at least the Chiefs don't have to put up with him anymore! I was really holding on to a bit of hope though that they might have traded him to the Vikes for a 7th rounder or something! But as others have stated the Bills releasing Fitz. might have lessened their chances some. In any case, glad he's gone!

Also I like how you put Jordan Poyer next to the Vikes, as a DB and not a CB in particular. I think that's a fair assumption whether you even realized or meant to do it that way. I think Poyer is more than capable of playing some safety as well!

Outside of Reggie Wayne and their two young TEs they drafted last year, I'm not so sure the Colts have any pass catching options that really strike any fear into the hearts of opposing defenses. So the Indianapolis Colts select...Da'Rick Rogers WR Tennessee Tech...he's a classic case of a 1st round talent but a 10 cent brain. That said, Luck needs more weapons I think, I haven't heard of them bringing in any wideouts, and at this point I think Rogers potential may trump any character concerns about him. Good value here for the Colts I think!

3.87 The Seattle Seahawks select Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
We're sticking to our board here, and 1 year after we plucked Russell Wilson out of the 3rd round, we're doing the same with Ryan Nassib. We're shocked that he's available here, and while Wilson is undoubtedly the future of our franchise, Nassib will step in behind he and Flynn. Needless to say, our QB position is in good shape and we'll be grooming Nassib in the background.

Green Bay only has 3 safeties on their current roster who have gotten any real playing time and they already released Woodson. So I'd be willing to bet at some point in the draft they look for help at corner or safety. While Morgan Burnett is clearly a starter at FS, neither Jennings or McMillian has really grabbed the other spot. It's not that I think the Packers' safeties are that bad, they just don't have anyone proven outside of Burnett. So Green Bay selects...Shamarko Thomas SS Syracuse...while obviously lacking the ideal height that some teams might prefer, Thomas is a proven playmaker at the collegiate level whose instincts and physicality help to overlook his size.

Damn! Is there something I'm missing about the guy? I'm starting to feel bad that I am now picking for 3 different teams and haven't drafted this guy once. Next round he's mine!
