I won't disagree, but I don't see a change happening this year. Who is out there now? Remember both Nedney, and now Cunningham, are left footed, which would require a lot of work, with the snappers, holders, and blockers. I am hoping with time, Stoyo gets his confindence back, and can be dependable, from 40-45 yds. I believe his 50 yarders are well behind him.

Dallas found their PK, punter, & Seattle's new kicker outside of football & all 3 are performing well. San Diego's punter (Bennett) is an Australian rules player. I'm CERTAIN there are soccer players all over the world that could embarass Stoyonovich currently including Mia Hamm. Kickers are a dime a dozen. KC should NOT have to tolerate a kicker that cannot hit the ball consistently nor a kicker that doesn't have the leg to do his job..... Goodbye, Pete. We've gotten our 5th round draft pick's worth from you and we're ready to move on. Best of luck to you in your new career!

Pete should apply for Warner's old job.
If the Chiefs organization is happy with their kicker having a range of no greater than 30 yards, Bob Dole would be happen to fill the position for $200k/season. |

Who all did kc bring to camp this year? And also most kickers are cut numerous times before they ever stick with one team. There has to be a few more guys stocking shelves at the local hardwares that can kick 30 yarders. cp has just got to get them in here.

Phil,
Surely you know there's no way they could get Mia Hamm to kick FGs. The game would take 6 hours...........all those repeated roughing the kicker penalties heheheee |

“Groping the kicker.” Makes vaguely obscene gesture. “On the receiving team. Half the distance to the goal. Repeat 4th down.”
xoxo~ gaz looking for new ways to matriculate downfield.
|

ANNOUNCER: “You know, Billy Joe, I thought that Gunther was crazy when he lined up for a field goal on 4th and 22 from his own 23-yard line. But his strategy is certainly working.
COLOR COMMENTATOR: “Yes, Bob. The Chiefs have moved down the field in 5-yard and 10-yard increments. I’m not sure the rules committee had that in mind when they made up the holding penalty, but they are moving the chains.” ANNOUNCER: “So, Billy Joe, do you think we’ll see more Special Teams units like the Chiefs?” COLOR COMMENTATOR: “Oh, sure, Bob. I understand that the Houston Texans are considering Jennifer Lopez as a wide out. Just wait for those PI flags to fly.” ANNOUNCER: “Ah, it appears that the backup ref is preparing to come into the game, since Jones tore a rotator cuff throwing that last flag. I guess we’re ready to begin. It is 4th and goal from the 3 yard line. Think we’ll see a run here, Billy Joe?” COLOR COMMENTATOR: “I doubt it, Bob. When you’re moving the ball, you want to keep doing what works. After all, you don’t run into a stacked line, so why would you pull a hot kicker?” ANNOUNCER: “Good point, Billy Joe. Okay the ball is snapped and the kick is up and…oh, ANOTHER penalty flag. Gosh, I hope Mia is okay under that pile.” xoxo~ gaz too much time on his hands.
|

LOL - you guys are FUNNY. If Mia could make from 40 yards in 95% of the time in the face of a pass rush, make her the first woman in the NFL, IMHO. Pity she didn't wear cutoff sleeves on her visit to Chiefs practice or Gun may have hired her on the spot.....
