Many people I know around here are all caught up in snowmaggedon '13. We did and are getting dumped on pretty good but still... it's getting ridiculous.

If you're dealing with the worst snowstorm in the history of mankind, i.e. if you're in the midwest and have a bunch of panicy friends... please check in here and let us know you're still alive. Maybe include an update of just how alive you are. At home safe alive...stuck at work alive... in a ditch alive... bleeding from at least 4 orifaces after the accident and the nurse has cold damn hands alive... those will work. Let me/us know how much concern we should have or if a prayer thread may be in order.

If you aren't alive please don't feel the need to respond. We'll just assume.

30 minutes east of Des Moines here and we have yet to get anything real substantial other than the goddamn wind.

Of course, the wind is what makes it so hard to gauge. The back yard is clean, no snow at all, but there's a 5-foot drift at the end, tall enough that you can't see the fence.

Central Iowa is going to escape snowpocalypse. The storm drifted further south than expected, everything people were talking about last week hammered KC instead.

I'll barely even need to shovel.
