Could we see Mahomes against Denver ?

If we beat Miami. Do the Chiefs rest the starters ?

Oh yeah. You just have to have a QB get that kind of valuable experience.
He's going to have to face that Denver defense twice next year. Let him get some experience in a game that doesn't matter.

Why the **** would you play Mahomes when you could play Tyler Bray? I'm being 100% serious. Why let Mahomes risk injury in a meaningless game against a sick pass rush, when you could throw Bray out there, potentially have him do well, and load yourself with an extra piece of trade bait?

Bray can't be traded but otherwise you're correct.

This is the 3rd or 4th time trading Bray has been mentioned in this thread, but he is a FA after this year. Bray has looked like dog shit every time he's seen the field. He's likely gone no matter what.

He's not getting traded.

We can sign him for NFL minimum wage. We will because he's more valuable to us than anyone else.

Smith will play because we want someone to give us draft picks for him...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

It's all or nothing. Andy can't sit starters and not sit Smith, but he can't play all the starters and also start Mahomes.

My best guess is he'd treat it like a 2nd or 3rd preseason game.

Bray will be giving Mahomes competition next year!/CP

Don't let Mahomes get game experience he might get hurt!/CP

Trade Bray like Flynn!/CP

I've seen more logic in the romper room

I've been thinking about this all morning.

I think I've changed my mind and would rather have Smith play. Max his stats and we may get a first rounder for him.

Someone like Jacksonville could go in the playoffs and have Bortles throw three picks and get kicked out and they might go wait a minute we can trade a first for a guy who threw 4000 yards last year.

I'd rather have that than Mahomes, even though I'm dying to see Mahomes play. I can be patient for a first round pick.

Quite a few of you that were bitching about Mahomes not being able to gain any game experience from the sidelines are the same idiots who now don't want him to gain any experience when he has the chance because he might get hurt? LoL, not only are you pussies, but you're a bunch of hypocrites. Why pull for him to play at the beginning of the year, but not now? And leave injury out of it, that's a bunch of horse shit.

Would love it. It would be fun to see Mahomes go off and rub it in Elways stupid smug face
