['Hamas' Jenkins]

We have two things to look forward to this year:

1) The potential beginning of the Maty Mauk Era. Mauk represents the best chance for this program to get back to a level of respectability after horrendous QB play cost us multiple games last year.

2) The last year of the Gary Pinkel era. Pinkel's entrenched cronyism won't play in a conference this competitive, especially if he couples his abysmal gameday coaching with lackadaisical, worst-in-conference recruiting. Pinkel was the formerly adequate meal that has now turned into a four pound bowel obstruction. It's time to jam a Fleet's enema up our collective asses.

Here is the schedule. We dodge Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas in the west and the Non-con is decidedly weaker than years past.

Looks like 6-6. Undefeated in non-con, 2-6 in league play.

I will eventually update the OP with a list of high profile in-state recruits that decide to go elsewhere after a half-assed attempt to gain their services. The inevitable cavalcade of *** rejects, skeezers, skanks, and scalliwags we get will fill out the ranks.

I'm not sure, but he was offered by Illinois when it meant something and Wisconsin.

I've heard all sorts of weird explanations for Missouri's failures in St. Louis, including allegations of Norm Stewart's racism, which made no sense to me given that he recruited the **** out of Detroit. I'm sure duncan has far more background information on that than I do, as I'm a first generation fan.

Then August came and the whole damn thing just imploded. Man what a shitshow that turned into. By February I just wanted it to be over before we lost any of the remaining commits we had. Then it carried over into the 2014 class when we started losing early verbals as well.

It really was a shitty few months there, wasn't it? In the end, keeping Printz was a minor miracle (even if I think he's doomed to the Chase Patton role as Mauk's backup until the next kid comes along and laps him as a senior).

We are fortunate to have enough depth to absorb a boner of a class. Can't happen again for at least a few years, or we're toast.

A strong program can absorb a bad class. 2 bad classes in a row? Well if that happens, Mauk or Printz had better be damn good.

Holt got arrested, dismissed from the team, and wound up transferring. Gabbert couldn't beat out Franklin, transferred, asked to transfer back, and was told no.
