If the Chiefs go 8-8 or better 49ers get a 2nd round pick.

A third- or second-rounder from Kansas City, the remnant of the Alex Smith deal. Now it can be told: The second draft choice San Francisco will receive from the Smith deal will be K.C.'s second-rounder in 2014 if the Chiefs go 8-8 or better this season. It will be a third-rounder in 2014 if Kansas City is under .500 this season.

So: San Francisco will probably have first-, second- and four third-rounders next year. But if the Chiefs surprise, it'll more likely be a one, two twos and three threes. As we've seen, GM Trent Baalke is dangerous with extra picks in his hands. If Colin Kaepernick is very good, the Niners should be annual contenders for years with the picks laid out that way.

What argument do you want?

Alex Smith has had his most success while utilizing the run game, and completing short passes.

Andy Reids philo failed miserably last year, well actually the last two years, and every move they have made this offseason, you know, drafting a right tackle, signing Schwartz who is more of a run blocking guard, trading your nickel back for a blocking full back, would signal that they arent planning to throw it as much. So instead of 38 times a game, maybe 30?

There has to be a compromise.

Why are all these niners fans also browns fans?

Would be freaky, like I might never log in again crazy, if kapernick is also a mult of this weird cat.

The philosophy that got him to what, 3 straight NFC Champ games and a SB? The one thats had this success he's had?

He's always highly incorporated a FB into his gameplan, so thats a null argument.

Essentially, this is all speculative BS, going off something you "feel" is going to happen.

But your point is a solid one. I will say this. some guys are alex smith, but, then again some guys are Blaine gabbert, Cassel, fitzpatrick, and give the ball away like its a charity.....
Alex Smith threw more interceptions per attempt than Gabbert did in 2012.

Some guys can carry the load and some guys are well, Alex Smith.

I think Alex can be a QB on a winning team the same was he was with the 9ers, the same way Johnson was with the Bucs, the same was Dilfer was with the Ravens, and the same was Grossman was with the Bears.
Harbaugh didnt quit Alex from doing anything, He ran the offense that he has always been running. Look at Andrew Lucks attempts from 09 to 11 avg around 27 att per game. He did the same thing in the exact same offense with Josh johnson at San Diego. He never changes his philosophy, he finds a QB who can run his system, He does not hold Qbs back. Its a fact and its why he has been so successful. He believes 100% in a balanced attack. Will there be situations where they throw more yes, but his gameplan always comes down to his balance. I think you are the one who is trying to smear the facts.

You put Peyton Manning in Harbaughs offense and his attempts will go down. That is who Harbaugh is. Same with Kaper, around 26 attempt per game

No shit.

No one is saying they won't. But Andy Reid doesn't run that offense.

RANDOM PICTURE> Not a picture of me.

No, I'm just an ugly guy they pulled from the audience up on the stage during one of Cythia's numbers in the Playboy show "Skintight" at Harrahs.

We held our annual Fantasy Football draft in Las Vegas. That was half the reason I played fantasy football for 5 years.

I heard Cynthia Brimhall was in a Playboy show on the strip, and like a moth to a flame I was compelled to attend. I was the last guy in the door and sat in the back, really pissed I would not be closer up front to see Cynthia's performances.

Half way through the show, this half-naked Amazon showgirl grabs my hand and beckons me out of my seat and leads me all the way down the aisle and up on the stage where she sits my fat ass one of about 6 chairs. I say that like a half-naked Amazon showgirl leading you by the hand is ever is a bad thing. Nothing could be further from the truth.

So this was like a dream come true. Sitting on the stage, bright pulsating lights waving all around me, rock and roll music pounding from a 10-foot tall stack of speakers. And there she is, my all time favorite Playboy Playmate, Miss October 1985, Miss Cynthia Brimhall of Andy Sidaris movie fame, gyrating and grinding so close to me I can smell her lotion and see her sweet sweat glistening all over her pale velvet skin.

OK, maybe not that close, but damn close. We shared a stage in 2001 all the same and I sure haven't forgotten it, I will tell you. She has legs up to her shoulders and moves with the grace of a deer when she dances.

I didn't have the guts to try to go to her dressing room to heap worshipful praise of groupie fan-dom on her and maybe get a hug from my deam girl. Oh, I went to the side stage and waited several minutes while a crowd of stage hands milled around talking and barred the way, but as the minutes ticked off, my adrenal-erotic fog-induced compulsion to meet her gave way to feelings that it would only be a bother to her. So, I chickened out.

But we still shared a stage, and it is still a cherished memory 12 years later. Just to be that close to your all-time favorite dream girl looking that good, dancing and belting out the tunes, and all the while knowing EXACTLY what everything looks like under that pink penoir, well it does good the heart, mind and soul.

Im just making the point that I think BCD stat on him getting worse with more attempt is due to being on bad teams and playing catch up. I am also arguing and you apparently agree now that Harbaugh did not hold smith back. He was just running his system. which calls for throwing less. If this is Big Cats evidence i think it is real week evidence.

There is nothing wrong with a running team at all- if that is what we are I am good with it. Sucks to sit there and watch your team unable to stop the run. With a few exceptions- most Champion teams can Run the ball and stop the run. Steelers have followed that blue print for years.
One guy says passing not rushing.

One guy says the Chiefs won't abandon the rushing game.

It is both. Alex will be throwing a lot of passes to Charles. Long hand-offs disguised as passes.

But then I don't know jack squat about your Chiefs or Andy Reid, so take that with a grain of salt. It just seems Andy loves to pass to his backs. So you could have Alex throw 35 times a game with mostly dunks to Charles and other backs, and still keep Charles a cornerstone of the offense.

Just a wild thought I had as somebody here who is clueless about the Chiefs.

Here is the RB's receiving totals under Andy Reid in Philly.

2012 - RB was 3rd in receptions with 54
2011 - RB was 5th in receptions with 52
2010 - RB was 1st in receptions with 78
2009 - RB was 6th in receptions with 25
2008 - RB was 2nd in receptions with 54
2007 - RB was 1st in receptions with 90
2006 - RB was 1st in receptions with 77
2005 - RB was 1st in receptions with 61
2004 - RB was 2nd in receptions with 73
2003 - RB was 2nd in receptions with 37 and 3rd with 36
2002 - RB was 3rd in receptions with 51
2001 - RB was 1st in receptions with 63

Andy likes his receiving backs.

I've posted it before. During the last four years there is almost a direct corolation between his reduction in pass attempts and rise in QB rating. Is that the sole reason? Probably not, but likely a major part of it.

So what's the over/under on Alice attempts per game after 4 games assuming he stays healthy? I say 35. I also say he has a QB rating of about 80 like his past numbers suggest and we get the ole "He's new the offense" line of shit.

Alice ball washers?
