If you or someone you know lives in Oklahoma, please take heed as violent supercells are expected to develop at any time.

Conditions are favorable for violent, long track tornadoes through Central Oklahoma, including OKC and the metro area.

Hopefully the cap won't break and nothing develops. But that's unlikely. Stay safe, folks!

Especially not their equipment, so either:

A) They were with a team and someone else was driving the equipment truck

or B) This wasn't a research chase for them

That said, given the monster width of the tornado, it answers part of the reason so many chasers were likely caught off guard.
