Rumor: Bowe will stay beyond 2012.

I've been told by someone who is extremely close to Dwayne Bowe's brother that there's been a handshake deal in place since the end of last season.
This person went on to say he knew he'd be franchised this season followed by a four-year deal next year from the Chiefs.

I know nothing else, but this person seems very very confident in this information.

That's all I can tell you.

Doesn't make a lick of sense to the team or player.

Why not just do a 5 year deal then? Bowe could get hurt this year so the handshake deal would have no value to him.
Bowe could rip it up and decide he wants Megatron $$.

It just doesn't pass the smell test for either side.
