Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I'm being silly? I posted something that's not pro Geno and people keep whinning about it. Hey I tuned in to the game so Geno could give more to believe in. I wanted him to show me why I should be excited about him as our franchise QB. It was probably the biggest game of his career to date and he showed poorly. Now I'm not putting my view of him all on todays game but it would have been nice to get something out of todays game but "meh."

Read some comments over on Arrowhead Pride about Geno's game. Most of em say "eh, pass." "His temper tantrums reminded me of Vince Young and Jay Cutler". "He'll have to deal with that weather and bad play calling and blocking in KC"

Like I've said before, maybe this moronic fan base doesn't deserve a good QB.

You watched 2 of his games. Your opinion doesn't matter.

This game, the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl between two 7-5 teams, was bigger than last year's Orange Bowl?..... Nah.

No douche nozzle, I watched 2 entire games. Learn to read. I also watched more than half of the KSU game and the Texas Tech game. Secondly, I don't give a fat rats testicle if you care about my opinion. Geno crapped the bed in many games this year, all you Geno nut huggers don't want to admit he isn't as elite as advertised. As I have stated before, I like Smith and hope the Chiefs draft him, but I also realize he isn't a sure thing.

It strikes me as funny that you can watch a Crennel and Daboll-coached team and not recognize terrible coaching when you see it. It's also hilarious that you fail to recognize how much of an impact that has on games and the team as a whole, including a promising, talented QB.

Holgerson should be dragged out the back and put out of his misery. West Virginia will regrettably have to live with his bullshit for a long, long time.
Ok. To be clear: Geno had a bad game in large part due to the weather. Understandable.

But then to be mad at the coaching staff for adjusting to Geno's struggles in the weather?

That doesn't make sense.

It's an excuse.

Im not here to rip Geno, even though reaper is over there trying to pick a fight with me. Just calling it what it is.

This is a game where Geno was expected to come out and show everyone why people believe in him. Instead, he took two safties, fumbled in the end zone and lost a snap. To make it worse, those things happened at critical times.

And im the asshole for pointing that out?

Im not saying Geno isn't worth the #1 pick....but i am saying that he will need more help than some believe, and that today's game is indicative as to why there is such a variance of opinion on who should be #1 overall.

I'm just tired of fans making excuses for under performing favorites.

To me there obviously is no such thing, I know many people sucking Aaron Jesus Curry's testicles as a cant miss, and we saw how that turned out. People are giving me grief because I said Geno sucked today, well the truth hurts. I still want him, but he had a sucky game, plain and simple.

It was his last game of his college career and his last best chance to show the scouts and everybody else that he's the top QB in the draft. To me that's more important then his bowl game last year. At the end of the day Geno didn't do anything to solidify his position as the #1 QB in the draft.
