Aaron Brooks or Kerry Collins as a back-up QB?

Any interest there?

I'd rather see Harrington or Ramsey. But Brooks probably would be a great back-up.

I feel pretty much the same way.

Brooks biggest problem was having absolutely no line and injuries to the rest of his offense. He's just not the kind of QB that can carry a team.

Collins is the very definition of a QB who's only as good as his line. With good protection he's fun to watch.

Behind our line he'd be an outstanding B/U...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I've tried my darndest but can't find that pic of Collins stumbling out of the NC PD still drunk as $600 with a cigar in his mouth...

How about Casey Printers? I don't understand why we can't give the guys we have now a chance to do it if they suck then we can always get a good vet to come in in TC....but if I had to choose...Brooks, can be an awesome QB with good protection which he sorely lacked on N.O.

I'm not suggesting he's better than Culpepper or that he should be a starting QB in the league next year, but as a back-up you could do worse than Aaron Brooks.

I bet there are intangibles that set them apart. Like poise, leadership, or quick adlibbing talent. Quarterbacking is more than just passing stats. That said, however, I think Brooks could be a pretty good ad reliable back up. I'd be happy if the Chiefs signed him for that role. that said still, I'm still holding out hope that we would seriously go after Patrick Ramsey, especially now that two of his suitors (Miami and Detroit) are out of the picture.
