Does anyone know where I can get a good m4p to mp3 converter?

I downloaded some songs from the internet that uses the m4p format but I would like to transfer them to my mp3 player. Any suggestions?

I have to leave for a short time and I will be back later to see any comments. Thanks in advance.

Actually, when downloading songs from itunes, it saves the files with an .m4p extension.

The method to do this is to use iTunes to burn the M4P's (or M4A's) to a CD. Then use something like the free version of MusicMatch JukeBox or Nero and RIP the CD into nice, usable MP3s. It works just great, though from what I read M4A and M4P are better audio formats than MP3, not that anyone playing the files on an MP3 player would really be able to tell the difference.

Thanks, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to use a cd but you have to do what you have to do.

Is there a secret to doing this? Because I want to do the exact same thing as chop. Problem is that dbpoweramp doesn't even show the m4p files that I downloaded from itunes. Kinda hard to convert them when I can't even select them in the first place.

Hmm, I tried this and iTunes told me the files could not be burned. I changed the settings to burn it as a data cd. That worked. Only problem is that MusicMatch doesn't recognize it. Or at least as an audio cd.

Actually, dirk digler's suggestion was right. Apparently, I missed the option to burn the songs as an audio cd. Man, I hate iTunes. Really, I wouldn't have even needed to convert them if it had a little more capabilities. I have my Music Match Jukebox setup to output the signal through my audio card and then I can play it through my stereo. Well, I guess I like the idea of being able to put my songs I downloaded from iTunes on my MP3 player, too.
