Interesting/Odd Places To Visit

I have always wanted to visit the Winchester Mystery House. There's just something about the history behind the house that gives me chills.

What are some places that you've visited or would like to visit that are interesting/odd?

Yeah visiting the places you all have posted would be awesome. I swear if I ever get rich, I'm gonna spend most of my life traveling around and seeing things. There's so much world to see, and nothing but strip malls in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In the U.S., I'd go with....

Bryce Canyon, Utah
Mesa Verde cliff dwellings in Colorado
The whole of Las Vegas is rather odd
Devil's Tower, Wyoming
The Tustumena on Alaska's ferry system

Outside the U.S., I'd offer up...

Riding around in those big moon rover things and watching polar bears in Churchill, Alaska
Darwin, Australia
Abu Simbel, Egypt
The catacombs in Paris
That creepy church made out of bones somewhere in eastern Europe
There's some canyon system in Madagascar that is so narrow and steep that it has completely different ecosystems as you go down due to the loss of light as it gets deeper
Varanasi, India, though not in a good way

Ossuaries, (bone churches), are definitely odd.

The Catacombs of Paris contains a whopping six million bodies’ worth of bones spanning the walls of more than 300km, (approximately 186 miles), of tunnels.

I went to the catacombs once and have some cool pictures of myself standing in front of bunches of skulls. And when you walk in, there's a sign that says in French, "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here".

I thought this place was pretty neat and to experience "Total Darkness" was pretty wild. America's largest underground lake.

Oh, and Mammoth Cave in Kentucky is an interesting place. I'm not sure if it's unique compared to other caves, but it's big.

I was reading up on bioluminescent bays (bio-bays) in Puerto Rico. That would definitely be cool to see!

When I used to work in Hiawatha the word I always heard was the Davis memorial was kinda created out of spite.

I guess he had alot of money and the city was hoping on his passing to inherit of it since he didn't have children. Well, he had different plans. He spent it all on this grand memorial for him and his wife. In your face Hiawatha! lol

That does indeed look interesting.

I wonder if you agitate them by asking them if they need green cards.
