Bad Seed Farm for KC Urban Homesteaders
For anyone who lives in KC and is interested in living off the grid and/or Urban Homesteading, I just found out that you've got a cool resource right near you: Bad Seed Farm.
The way I found out is that they'll be hosting Novella Carpenter, the author of Farm City for a workshop on urban chickens, both meat and egg. They'll be showing how to slaughter and butcher chickens as well. Anyway, thought that some folks here might be interested. |

This bad boy sunk to the second page like a lead balloon. One bump, then I'll let it go.

They don't smell that bad if they're not in a CAFO, imo. Same with most animals.

Hey Phin,
Have you heard of any of these types of resources located in Phoenix,AZ? I haven't had a garden since I lived in Iowa due to the harsh climate here but would love to know how. |
