Bad Seed Farm for KC Urban Homesteaders
For anyone who lives in KC and is interested in living off the grid and/or Urban Homesteading, I just found out that you've got a cool resource right near you: Bad Seed Farm.

The way I found out is that they'll be hosting Novella Carpenter, the author of Farm City for a workshop on urban chickens, both meat and egg. They'll be showing how to slaughter and butcher chickens as well.

Anyway, thought that some folks here might be interested.

Have you heard of any of these types of resources located in Phoenix,AZ? I haven't had a garden since I lived in Iowa due to the harsh climate here but would love to know how.
