Four rounds is just too much time.
I say next year you do 3 rounds all on the same day |

I'm interested and have made it a couple of times, but had an unforeseen event occur today. My schedule should open up a lot after next Wednesday, so I'd be up for continuing and could even take a couple of more teams if need be.

I agree. Make it an event you do in one day, so people can set their calenders and participate if they're free, and if they're not, just not participate.
I like this idea, and if I am free when the drafting is being done, I will be sure to show up. But for next year, yeah, hold it all in one day. 3 rounds is probably good enough as well. |

The three rounds in one day idea got me to checking how long it took for us to do the three rounds. Round one was appoximately 2 1/2 hours 12:30-3:00, and round 2 about an 1 1/2. The shortened time for round two would be due to the fact that I knew by then who handn't showed and was more efficient in getting the needs picks in. A conservative estimate would say we need 6 hours for a 3 round draft. I think its possible, but an assistant commish would be needed to give a break to the commish, perhaps run round 3.
