Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Every semi-auto shotgun also has a charging handle on it, which if you think about it can serve the exact same purpose as the pump action on a shotgun. If for some reason the semi-auto function fails you can still load it manually like a pump.

Just a late night observation!
I've got an old Remington 16 gauge semi auto rifle and it is sweet.

Ordered it, today. Like this one but in 9mm, 7 rd mags. Not completely sold on the rosewood grips, but for $565, it'll be a great backup and I can always change he grips or order an extended mag for one more round.

Damn either those are some monster meat hooks or that is one tiny little pistol.

I really like this thread. It's the best on any BB I've found.
Just discovered I can't post pics of my little hardware collection, suppose that's because I only post occasionally how many posts does it take to get the restrictions lifted? I promise I won't go ape shit crazy like Gizmo200000002 and start post BS in every thread.

I bought a 20 gauge 1100 while in college back in the 70's as my designated quail gun - it's still going strong. Picked up a 12 several years ago, they make a nice matched set.

I hate to admit it but I got tossed down the stairs at Buzzard Beach back in the 80s, when I was still a drinking man (and an obnoxious drunk) and it messed up my collarbone. Shotguns that bleed off a lot of recoil to load the next shell is a good cure for that particular malady. 1100's fall into that category - YMMV but they're good guns for me.
My grandpa bought three 1100's in 12 gauge while my parents were dating and gave one to dad. Here about three years ago or so I and one of my brothers got the other two. You are correct, the suckers last.

Yes I did. Got the quad rail and back up sights on yesterday as a matter of fact. I had to do it yesterday, playing with guns was the only thing that would improve my mood.

While I'm thinking about it, I never got around to taking a look at the .40..... Might ought to do before I forget again.

Worth noting that they were also available in left handed versions, as we're the 11-97s. Loved that option until I fell in love with Ithaca doubles and bottom ejects. Still good guns.

so the shop where I buy most of my stuff at has a springfield armory M14 .308 with a wood stock. It's a beast. They want $1699 for it, is that a good price?

Any good Black Friday gun deals?

I just found Mosin Nagants for $89.99, including the bayonet, oil bottle, and tool kit.
