Sorry if it's a repost, but I'm seeing a lot of talk about this... thought we might centralize the discussion.

This makes me excited.

Glad to know I'm not alone!

Anyone figure out where to get Brotherhood Paladin training? I got some cool combat armor/helmet from some guys who didn't survive the mission, but it says I need training to use it.

I gotta say, that Bloody Mess perk is pretty frickin' cool. I love the death/dismemberment graphics, and the fact that when a mob blows to pieces, you can just search the piece that lands closest to you!

Also love Dogmeat, although he totally changed my game play. I played pretty slow, constantly sneaking, sniping for the guaranteed critical hit on the first shot from hiding, laying mines for when the mobs came after me, etc. With Dogmeat, you can't really maneuver while sneaking. He runs after everything that comes into "CAUTION" range. Now I charge into the fray with bullets spraying trying to keep him alive. The first few fights with him were rather hectic!

I totally abandoned F3 for LBP. I will get back to F3 though. I am getting close to beating Star Wars, but so many good games come out and i get side tracked. I cant play for 4-5 hours at a time anymore. I just play for an hour or 2 at a time.

Why the **** is everyone in Rivet City following me and then trying to kill me all of a sudden? Jesus Christ, I'm not trying to enslave Flak. I'm walking past him.

I guess I'm glad I have a couple of older saves, but I hope whatever triggered their insanity didn't already happen on them.

I totally haven't been saving enough. I'll play for like 45 minutes easy...and totally forget to save unless it auto-saves.

It's fucked me over quite a few times.

The power armor training is available at the Citadel, but you have to get Elder Lyons to approve the training.

Haven't found the Citadel, or the Oasis yet. I just hit level 10, and just recently made it to Rivet City and finished the Jefferson Memorial and History of RC portions. I guess I'll dump the armor at home (shit takes a lot of weight in inventory) and hit the national archives.

I pushed Gomez off the Bridge Tower though. Bought my karma back with purified water. I didn't figure out how to get the guy to stop and said **** it.

Oasis is way up north. I'm level 10, too (maybe 11, can't remember), but I haven't done hardly any of the main quest. Did finally make it to GNR tower, and that was a HUGE pain in the ass. Used over 1,000 bullets and 8 missiles getting rid of that big as mutant.

Did you do all of History of RC, go down and find Pinkerton and everything?

When he first breaks through and starts attacking your pals, one of the girl soldiers tell you to pickup the "fatman" from the corpse in the center.
One shot kills that beast.

Well, when fire me boy said he fired missiles, i presumed he meant out of the Fat Boy. But it only took me one missile (thats all it would let me fire, because the gun was in poor condition)) but used about 100 rounds to his head to finish him off. I got my first taste of the big guns there.

I didn't hear that... and searching through the bodies later I didn't find anything. Will look again now, though.

No, I did it the hard way. I killed him with a missile launcher and a mini gun.

It was in the corpse hanging off the center piece with the Map Display (before the stairs to GNR)

Heh...I abandoned F3 to finish Dead Space which has been well worth it.

Anyone gotten a neighbor/pet yet? Dogmeat perhaps?
I just got the contract for "Charon" - he's a killing machine. Nasty ghoul. Looks great with a hockey mask and combat shotgun.
