Post your top 5 rock bands of all time

I'm interested in seeing what era most people's favorites come from and if there are more US bands or UK bands (or Scandinavian if you're Reaper16)

Clean sweep for the Brits for me.

1. The Beatles
2. Rolling Stones
3. Led Zep
4. Pink Floyd
5. The Who

Define band however you want. If you want to throw Elvis on your list, do it.

****ing terrible.

Every single ****ing song sounds the same.

Even with the other guy singing.

I can never in my life fathom someone actually choosing to listen to Boston.

Like, 'I'm gonna take this CD or whatever, out of the case, put it IN the tray...and press play.'

I'm just gonna say, if you actually DO that...then you get what you deserve.

Sorry. I won't fault anyone for their music, but out of everything ever recorded or played, the last thing anyone should ever choose to listen to would be Foreigner, Styx, REO, Boston, and especially Journey.
Are you in high school?

Most people grow out of the "people who don't like exactly what I do don't know anything about music" stage by their early 20's when they discover that they don't know everything.

Deep Purple - now THAT is a band.

Made In Japan, In Rock, Machine Head, Burn, Come Taste The Band...

Deep Purple brought the goods.

It's not about 'liking what I like.'

It's about getting drive-thru music vs. good organic non-GMO music.

It's like, good vs. evil.

Personally, I don't give a **** if someone's favorite band is Nickelback. People like what they like for a lot of different reasons and coming across like a self-appointed musical expert douchenozzle isn't going to "save them".

First off, to me Rock is Rock, not Pop. Therefore bands like the Beatles are out.

1. Led Zeppelin
2. AC/DC
3. Guns n Roses
4. Black Sabbath
5. Kiss

I wanted to nominate people like Chuck Berry, the Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, the Kinks, the Clash, Lynard Skynard, and others but they are either more pop or just not the top 5. I also love Ted Nugent but he is never taken seriously as one of the greats

To me when you hear great rock you have to wanna head bang and jump around and press the gas pedal all the way to the floor and run real fast and get whipped into a frenzy.

Do you whine this much in real life??

Wait...you listen to Journey, Styx, REO, Boston, and Foreigner.

You're a female, and it's your time of the month??

Change tampon, maybe???

Well, what I'm not is a sniveling little twat with an overblown sense of self-importance. Was your ex-boyfriend from Boston or something? Sorry about that.

Didn't come across as whining to me.

Perhaps you should step down from your "Good vs Bad" music pedestal....and GFYS with a rusty shovel
