Rank your most and least favorite characters on "The Office".

Let's go with the American version.

I'll limit this to characters who appeared on 100 or more episodes. Use the easily sortable list below to list your characters in descending order of favoritesness. I have conveniently sorted them in my own preference to subtly influence you.

Creed Bratton
Dwight Schrute
Jim Halpert
Meredith Palmer
Kevin Malone
Toby Flenderson
Ryan Howard
Kelly Kapoor
Oscar Martinez
Stanley Hudson
Pam Beesly
Angela Martin
Phyllis Vance
Michael Scott
Erin Hannon
Daryl Philbin
Andy Bernard

Just watch the first 3 seasons on Netflix, don't worry about the rest.

Seems to be the pattern w/ American comedies nowadays.

I'd say I dislike Angela the most.... she is just not appealing at all.

I always liked Meredith. She was funny.

Jim's role could have been terrible, but the actor really made it work. He was the perfect blend in those early years of a nice guy who had just a twist of good-natured meanness in him. The interaction with the camera really made you feel like he was your pal.

I liked him all the way to the end when he became really henpecked by Pam. That part was hard to watch as she sucked the life out of him.

That's my issue with Daryl. He had potential, but they never realized it. He had the one plot line with the romance with the UPS gal or whoever, but frankly it wasn't that interesting, in part because his character really wasn't very dynamic. The more I think about it, he was really just a prop for Michael Scott's jokes in most episodes.

I stopped watching when they replaced Steve Carrel. Did it get better again after?

Yeah, the final season was pretty awesome, in my opinion. Particularly the last couple of episodes.

The final season was a hell of a lot better than the previous season. I did hate "The Farm" episode though. That would have been a terrible spinoff imo.

I never liked that douche-bag Gabe either, he didn't even really qualify for a villian. Simply a smug douche-bag.

My favorite occasional character was Todd Packer, wish he had been on more, other good ones were David Wallace. Jan and Holly.

Packer was a well-constructed character. It was perfect that he was the road salesman because no one could stand him for more than a few hours.

Yeah, he didn't add much. I liked Toby much better.

My favorite line in the whole series may have been when Michael Scott said about Toby, "If Hitler, Osama bin Laden, and Toby were in a room with me and I had a gun with only two bullets, I would shoot Toby twice." That line cracks me up even now when I think about it.

The gold standard for those exchanges was when Michael erupted 'I hate! . . . so much. . . about . . all the things you choose to be.'

Loved the "Fun Run" episode where Michael de-pantsed Toby at the start of the race!
