Can we get rid of the filter evasion ban?

A quick history of this ban:

It was put in place after GoChiefs (Wonton Prejiduce) was banned for no reason by Phobia and back then they needed a reason to justify a ban to the unruly masses of ChiefsPlanet so they came up with this idea that Kyle (AustinChief) spent way too much time putting these filters in place and it offended him when people circumvented them so they were always supposed to be automatic bans they were just never inforced.

Instead of making up fake reasons to ban people, can we just call it like it is and say:

"Claythan was banned because Phil doesn't like him. Pretty simple. He's a mod, and Clay isn't. Burn in an AIDS coma bundle of sticks!"

because Duncan_idaho, a harmless productive board member who has never said anything negative in his life and has never broken a single rule until just now circumvented a filter in the Royals game thread and I'd hate to see him banned for 3 days for breaking such a sacred rule.

So lets just do away with this fake rule that makes no sense for this AIDS TREE ANTI-FREEZE RAPING reerun BREEDER of a board and just ban people for no reason like I'm about to be banned for this thread.

I just find it odd that I, a 5.5 year member at the time known as a diehard Chiefs fan who loved debating football with the likes of Milkman, Hamas Jenkins, etc...

But you, and I think you have fantastic morals and you have generally been the voice of reason on this board for over a decade, you are the last person I figured would turn a blind eye to a man who, fully aware a member had a child with special needs, would allow another member to go after his child and refer to him as a reerun who breeds reerun children.

When I didn't here you chime in right away I assumed you were away from the board or taking a vacation.

I just found it hard to believe you let something that vile slip through the cracks. I was in awe that Dane actually said something like that and I was literally at a loss for words when I was following that thread at the time.

Couldn't believe what I had seen. I figured in Dane's emotional state he was trying to get banned and I figured as soon as you saw that he would have succeeded.

Was surprised when it didn't happen.

I wasn't around for any of that. Still haven't seen any of it. Haven't asked about it. Haven't been told. Period. That's why we have a team. I'll trust that the rest of the team have handled it in an appropriate manner. If they haven't then our team should have a discussion about it and figure out how to both rectify the current situation and prevent it in the future. But spring is crazy busy for me. CP is very, very low on my list. I come here for a few minutes late at night before turning in.

Every now and then I go on my tangents and during the offseason one of these 5 day charades occurs where the board just goes at one another and I find myself in the middle or pulling the strings...

This is ChiefsPlanet. Compare my post history (4500 posts) to that of anyone:

90% of them, if not more...are sports related...mostly football. I debate football, I bring valid discussion to the table, I ask questions, I talk about QB's I like...

Almost every single one of my posts has substance, or a point to it.

I just don't understand how you think I'm bad for this board. I realize you don't like me and I think that is clouding your judgment.

Because during the season I am a through and through Chiefs fan that participates in 99% of Chiefs related topics...and in the offseason I help pass the boring months with threads like these...that hurt no one.

So honestly, I don't get why you have to point a finger at me all the time and pretend like I'm some cyst on this site. It all stems from one incident years ago that is way in the past. Other than that one incident, I've done nothing ban worthy on this site, at least more so than anyone else.

And according to what Dane did this week, not even what I did should really be ban worthy.

Just my $0.02. I don't see how I do harm to this board...I think if PFF rated members on this board I would have graded in the green 6 out of my 7 years here!

Understood. I figured as much.

No way would you have let that one go without punishment. It was honestly the worst thing I've ever seen on any board in my life. It was crossing a line even I wouldn't dare crossing.

...and honestly, the only reason I've gone old school attention whore this week is because I can't believe I was banned 15+ months in total for an incident where I should have been the bigger man but couldn't yet DaneMcCloud DISMANTLED it to the point where Hamas Jenkins responded by saying "there isn't enough facepalms in the world for that" yet when he was 'banned' it was reported he was only banned for filter evasion.

It was offensive to a long standing, long time participant to this forum who was banned for a very long time for doing something "similar" to that (but not nearly as offensive).

And you can't say "well Dane has been less controversial over the years" because he hasn't.

I'm questioning the judgment of the mods too. Letting you back a year early was a very poor decision. You haven't learned a thing about accepting personal responsibility. I was just trying to have a civil conversation with you about this matter.

I just don't understand why you have to keep threatening me with bans and telling me I deserved to be banned when I stay on topic, talk sports, don't bypass filters, and stir occasional pots in the offseason.

I've been set off one time in 5 months and that was the reerun comment. It was offensive, and appalling, and the fact nothing was done about it after the way Dane ABUSED every single member the past month didn't make sense to me.

I just don't know how someone can turn a blind eye to Dane's last 500 posts. I'm just asking you a question. I'm not trying to upset you Phil.

And why am I the bad guy? Flopnuts called me a huge piece of shit today because I didn't graduate with a 4 year degree. Why is it always my fault when these threads happen?
