Kawika Mitchell the next Willie Lanier, bullcrap ...

I am truly truly dissapointed with this kid, he sucks, doesnt know how to tackle, over purses the play, gets taken out of the play, would probably be a better Outside Linebacker than a Middle LInebacker.

He needs to be replaced by Scanlon or Beisel, i've been more impressed with Beisel in the Middle this year than i have been with Mitchell. Beisel showed me that he could make plays. I havent see that from Mitchell at all.

Everybody here knows im a big supporter of Rich Scanlon and i can tell you right now that he would do better than Mitchell has been in the 2 years that he has been in KC.

Move the guy to Outside Linebacker, let him back up Scott Fujita, and put Scanlon in the middle and you will have a very good Middle Linebacker IMHO.

But as far as Mitchell being the Middle Linebacker of the future hopes are gone and needs to be replaced big time. Just my view of how i feel about the kid.

Jeez, shove that Scanlon crap up your ass. Mitchell looked bad on the long gain but has made some very very nice plays.

If he was better than Mitchell then he would be starting at LB.

That would be the dumbest statement of all time.

That's like comparing Ted White to Brett Favre. Kijana Carter to Walter Payton. The difference is that great.

(Sigh) Sure try Rich. Whatever makes you happy. It doesn't matter. I'm simply convinced that 90% of our defensive players can't play.

Mitchell has not played 2 years. Came in for the second half of last year, and has played only a couple games this year.

DV made the claim that Mitchell will be a good one, not a Willie Lanier, but close to it,m he reminds him of Lanier.

I call bullshit, BULLSHIT.

If there are any of you on this BB that think Mitchell is a quality MLB, or ever will be, you don't know football.

Right now, they could play anybody in the MLB position and be as much as Mitchell, if not better.

I have forgotten more about football than you know.

The MLB has a lot of responsibility with run stopping on the inside. And he has fulfilled that responsibility. He is not a strong coverage backer and needs to be better in that department.

So you finally agree now that Mitchell is a mediocre LB. Maybe the coaches will finally see that now and make a change at MLB. He was a Dick Vermeil draft choice and Vermeil is going to give him every chance to succeed until he sees otherwise.
