Ditka feels the same way about last year’s most scrutinized quarterback prospect entering the draft, Tim Tebow.

‘‘People talk about the combine, about body fat, 40 times, bench presses, how high you can jump. That’s great, but how do you measure heart?” Ditka said.

‘‘People talk about Tim Tebow like he can’t do this or he doesn’t have this throwing skill. But all that matters is can he lead you from Point A to Point B. I like him. You cannot coach character. You cannot coach leadership.’’

Ditka doesn’t have the same warm and fuzzies for the Bears’ current quarterback, Jay Cutler.

‘‘If Cutler’s not in the future, go after the best quarterback available,” Ditka told the Sun-Times. “Leadership and character, you can’t teach those.’’

In other words, Ditka doesn’t think much of Cutler’s leadership or his character.

While attending the Colorado Pro Day, Russell decided to personally experience the power of Buffaloes tackle Nate Solder.

The University of Florida will unveil a statue of Tim Tebow during halftime of the team's spring game April 9. Tebow, a first-round draft pick of the Broncos in 2010, is expected to have some role in the event.

A NFL scouting intern was asked to tell a good story he had heard during his internship....

Riley Cooper was Tim Tebow's roommate in college. Nothing about Tim is a myth, he truely is a stand up guy in every way, however, every girl at Florida wanted to be his first. They would wait outside his room in short skirts, bikinis, and robes. He'd ignore them (nicely) when he got home and pass them off to his roommates, specifically Riley Cooper, who obviously enjoyed to party in college.

Carolina and St. Louis draft executive Tony Softli said he had Tebow ranked as a low second-round pick last year when Softli was with the Rams. He said he wouldn’t draft a quarterback this year. He believes in Tebow. Softli raved about Tebow’s leadership ability, his history as a winner and his intelligence. Softli said Tebow, Matt Ryan, Bradford and Josh Freeman were the brightest quarterback prospects he’s seen in the past 10 years when it came to working on the grease board and breaking down the game.

“I understand why Denver is looking at quarterbacks -- they’re doing their homework and that’s smart -- but I think Tebow is going to be the guy,” Softli said. “I think the Broncos should forget about his throwing motion and just let him be who he is. His intangibles are off the charts. When it’s Tebow time, he’ll show he’s the answer.”
