Something I just read but didn't realize, Judgement Day is in Chicago this year.

If there was ever a time to elevate CM Punk, it would be then.

Really? The worthless May pay per view? How about Summerslam? Or better yet, be the first guy to keep MITB for the full year and challenge for a belt at Wrestlemania.

Judgment Day seems like the perfect PPV to say, yeah, lets just get this MITB thing out of the way.

Yeah, Punk should hopefully be elevated by getting a bigger spotlight on Smackdown.

I was thinking more about giving him a win in front of the hottest crowd he'll have all year, but you can look at it any way you want.

In any case, if they follow their normal mo, they'll have him lose in front of that home crown.

Just finished superstars. Not a bad show until you get to the part with Shane McMahon wrestling.

I read this thread every once and a while and at times I'll flip over to catch WWE... TNA just doesn't do much for me.

I grew up a huge wrestling fan... loved WCW and prior to that, loved the days of Mid South Wrestling, the Dallas promotions, the old days in Atlanta, etc.

I see that WWE now has Superstars.. so, does that make 4 weekly productions with many of the same guys? Raw, ECW, Superstars and Smackdown? Seems a bit watered down to me. They should eliminate ECW... it's just nothing close to what the true ECW was back in the day.

Anyway, the great thing about WCW early was the build up of the under card guys... now everything is focused on the elite and driving new monthly rivalries for the next PPV.

I think all the things they do to over-involve the McMahon family in matches is just dumb. In regards to TNA, they've got some good young stars in the making, but they're clinging to themes that worked a decade ago.

There just doesn't appear to be much creativity in either brand from what I can tell and a lot of great talent is going to waste.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong... I don't watch it much anymore. But, when I do, I know I'm not impressed. Maybe it's because I grew up captivated by the generation of wrestlers that mostly retired. I dunno.

I don't know if it was last night or not, but did I see a build up for a match between Undertaker and Matt Hardy? Please... why even make that attempt?

I'd start watching Smackdown after next Sunday's pay-per-view. I think it's going to turn into their real 'A' show. They've got the younger, more interesting talent there, and by far the better stable of wrestlers. Raw is stale, and the draft made it even moreso.

The undertaker/matt hardy match actually wasn't bad, but it was just an elaborate setup for jeff to run in.

ECW is pretty much the most consistently watchable show they have.

It's almost like Vince Russo is a moron, or something.
