Diablo Immortal for Mobile

Anyone see the Diablo Immortal release for mobile? The reactions are out of this world. Fans are PISSED!!! The comments on the cinematic trailer on youtube are brutal. They're pissed about the microtransactions of the game (most likely), the fact it looks like a reskinned chinese mobile game, they hoped for a diablo 4 announcement instead, and they just dont like mobile as they're the hardcore pc gamers. They booed the shit outta those guys on stage. 10k likes and 234k dislikes.

I've gotten to the point where I never buy games at launch. I just started playing AC Origins this week, a year after release.

And for the record, I played D3 on console after the Expansion with the Crusader launched - that's how far after original release I started playing it.

The real winner here is Path of Exile, great game and many diablo fans have flocked to it now.

I liked Grim Dawn way more than POE.

I played D3 about a year ago and the game was excellent. Really great polish and really good progression. A lot of great builds to explore with different sets and gear working in amazing synergy. I was actually blown away by it all.

The end game was perfect too. I love what they did with the Rift system and the timed clearing. I think they have instituted something similar into WoW as well since then.

I know it wasn't very popular when it first came out, but it was honestly a great experience a year ago.

I think it's even better now that they added the Necromancer.

Yep, this. Waiting to buy it was the best decision I ever made. It's a really good game as it is right now.

not really, its really down the last 2 months and its not gaining any momentum. At least on PC...

It does always fluxuate when a new season hits though.

Blizzard continues to make dumb decisions, been waiting for a new Diablo for quite a while. I still remember how in awe I was back in January of 1996 playing the original. I reinstalled Path of Exile again and have played it very little it just doesn't grab me. Have to hold onto Diablo 2, Tit Quest and Torchlight 2 until the new Torchlight MMO comes out.

Grim Dawn is similar to POE for me, it just never really grabbed me. Mind you it's not nearly as wonky as POE. Diablo 3 is great fun for what it is, something that you play once a new season comes out and get bored of within a couple of weeks.

This looks like Mythos if anyone remembers that dieing with Hellgate London.

I can see how the chunky combat can be somewhat of a turn off for fans of the crispy D3 combat, but the build combos and itemization and progression just don't really get better than that, IMO.

Where did my post say they weren't making money? Madden is shit, but EA turns a profit every single year.

That's the problem - if they're "dumb" decisions, why is the company still blowing out their quarterly projections? SOMEBODY is buying their games. Perhaps mainstream gaming just isn't what it used to be...

Madden is a yearly release. People are essentially paying for roster updates and the NFL property. It doesn't matter who makes it, an NFL licensed football game is going to sell.

Blizzard on the other hand, is selling their own IP and selling it like gangbusters. You may not like their games as of late but millions of people obviously disagree.
