KC's offense couldn't put 40 up against anyone. When the Chiefs do score big, most often the defense scores a TD or two.

Kphobia... we'll just have to wait and see, eh? I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised that it appears you're hell bent on not accepting the fact that Denver played well and hung with the Rams a lot better than most expected.
Did both defenses suck? Yes. However, the Broncos played 10X better on the road against the defending champs than KC did at home against Indy. We'll just leave it at that and see how things turn out in the AFC West. I hope JQ isn't pumping his chest too hard about the exhibition of ineptitude that his team put on against the Chargers. I hate to say it, but I agree 100% with Brad on this. Denver played much better in losing on the road to the SB champs than KC can expect to play when they get their turn on Oct 22.

Mizzou... when I was watching the defense out there fall around Faulk, Holt and Hakim - I was thinking back to what you guys rag me about with Denver.
I thought "****, maybe the defense is wearing vaseline tonight". Ah well ... if Denver had won, then it would have been just incredible. However, I'm perfectly content with their performance on offense. Defensively - they need to get a lot better with the tackling. I mean, it's not like Denver is the first team in the last year to get throttled by the Rams. Ah well, there's 16 more games and the next 8 are against non-playoff teams from 1999. GO BRONCOS! |

Brad,
Their defense played bad, but it was against the best offense in the league. If Denver would have went in the tank in the second half and gotten blown out, I may have ragged the Broncs. But they came back & nearly won in a very hostile environment. |

Will wait and see how Griese does against teams that actually bring the heat on the pass rush. His only test last night was on the final drive and he folded like a tent.
Although I can't stand Shanahan have to give them credit for coming in with a game plan to win, and not playing not to lose. Fellow chiefs fans, wasn't it refreshing to actually watch offenses not afraid to throw the ball over the middle more than 15 yards down field. Waiting for the day in KC when we attempt this more than twice a game! |
