***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

He was so good, in fact that he works for NFLN instead of an NFL team.

So does Gruden and Cowher. TV money is comparable to NFL money but with 1/20th of the hours.

Herm said that if he got a call to be HC that he would turn it down because he has the best job in America.

The answer to both of those questions is yes. If you answer any differently, you're an idiot.
Really? I didn't know Baldwin was known for his route running. I did only see him make a grand total of 4 catches last year, though. What do you have as evidence that he runs more/better routes than Thomas?

Thomas caught a whopping 11 more than Baldwin, and he's a rookie playing opposite Bowe.

Chiefs will have 2 WRs better than Thomas.

Well, if he didn't produce as a rookie he must suck at everything!

Jesus. What a stupid ****ing question.

I don't know what the hell was wrong with him. He had a shitty coach and shitty QBs who wouldn't know a football from a sickly-looking watermelon. In addition to all of that, he had practically zero offseason time to get acclimated to the playbook, practically zero time to get acclimated to the team, but also practically zero time to get acclimated to the NFL. And what little preparation time he had before the regular season was cut short by Thomas Jones.

I DO know what kind of offense he ran at Pitt. I saw him play last year, and I'm hearing about what he's doing this offseason. I've also seen Demaryius Thomas gimp around the field trying to re-learn how to play WR over the course of 3 seasons. Maybe he's caught on by now. Good for him if he has. All I know is that Baldwin had a HUGE leg up over Thomas when he first entered the league, and the results of that head start will very likely be seen this next season.

Sorter... so, you think that Baldwin as the #2 with Cassel at QB will have better numbers than Thomas as the #1 with Manning at QB?

?

Neither of these came anywhere close to answering my question. I'm not saying he sucks because he didn't produce, I'm saying that in the 2 Chiefs games I watched, he made 4 catches, so I didn't see much of him.

Obviously he must be great at route running, if someone has to be an idiot to think he isn't superior to Thomas. I just wondered what evidence you had of this. Maybe something other than "I saw it."

Also, I'm not sure what you're talking about "trying to re-learn how to play WR." He played quite well considering his inexperience and the offense he was in, I thought.

It's really going to depend on the QB play... difficult to compare last year.

Chiefs started several QBs... Baldwin was a rookie and clearly not a top target, which is the case with most rookies.

Broncos made a dramatic shift in their passing game, simply didn't throw it as much with Tebow. The situations just aren't apples to apples.

I think it's very possible. Of course I think it's likely Decker puts up better numbers then Thomas as well.

What other evidence do I need other than "I saw it?" There's no statistic for route running.

Thomas entered the NFL running nothing but go routes in college

Baldwin entered the NFL running a variety of formations and plays that required him to know far more about route running.

It's that simple. Thomas had to learn how to play WR when he entered the pros. What don't you ****ing understand about this? I'm not saying he can't play WR. I'm saying he had a very steep learning curve as a rookie. With very little experience thanks to the lockout, 5-game injury, and crap for coach/QB, Baldwin's routes are STILL probably better than Thomas'.

I'm not saying he'll be a better receiver this year. I'm still talking about just route running. That's it. If Thomas does put out better numbers than Baldwin, it will be by the grace of Peyton Christ himself.

You and vailpass should hang out. Your inabilities to detect subtleties when discussing football could help form a deep bond between you two.

Your inability to detect when you are being ****ed with and having your subsequent melt downs laughed at make you subtly special.
