Royales with Cheeze vs. Brooklyn Dodgers Game 2

1-1 in the 4th innning.

Brad Penny has over 70 pitches so far... Lima Time hasnt given up the big inning yet.

Im thinking inning 6 is the big 4-5 run inning for the Dodgers...

anyway.

lets see if Bell can get victory #10, and win the 4th series as KC manager.

Damn, its fun again.

Major props to him for coming around -- I sure as hell gave him no chance after his April struggles.
There was a mention in the Q&A mailbag on the official site about whether or not somebody could hit that Dodge truck up in left field...

http://kansascity.royals.mlb.com/NAS...t=.jsp&c_id=kc

Quote:
Emil knows the long ball: Perhaps we were a bit hasty in the most recent Royals mailbag, nixing the possibility that a batter would hit the Dodge parked high on the grassy hill at Kauffman Stadium.

Emil Brown did not hit the Dodge in Wednesday's batting practice. He hit a ball over the truck.

"It went over. It didn't hit it, it went over," said third base coach Luis Silverio, who served up the pitch that Brown belted. The truck lies about 470 feet from home plate.

Silverio said that early in the season, Brown hit the concession stand beyond the left-field seats on the fly.

"He's a strong human being right there," Silverio said.

What have we got here, the next Bo Jackson?

"I don't want to be the second Bo Jackson," Brown said. "I want to be the first Emil."

And also, I guess Brian Anderson has become the first active player to get his own blog on the MLBlogs.com website. Sky should be thrilled.

Hmmm. This was an interesting post by BA (emphasis added):

"The biggest thing is the fact that he's made everybody on this team aware that the veterans have their power back.

"There's actually going to be somebody that's going to back us and restore that power."

Before Buddy Bell we were 13-37. (.260)
Now we're 23-41 (.359)

At the Buddy Bell pace, we'll pass back over .500 around the middle of August and end the season at 93-69 which would have been good enough to win the AL central 3 of the last 4 years.
