No idea. I haven't watched much of Alex as far as breaking down his snaps. There could be others who have just as much if not more knowledge than I as to Harbaugh's read/route/play designs and have watched Alex's snaps.

I haven't, so he isn't the "Check Down King" yet. Title still goes to Cassel.

This is absolutely correct. There are some many variables that go into each play that it's impossible to throw out a blanket stat and say it proves a QB did something right or wrong, is or isn't capable of a given pass, there's too much info we don't know. It's silly to do to Geno, or Alex Smith.

Here's the thing you have to remember, WVU wasn't running the ball down your throat. You knew they were going to pass the ball but they did it anyway. Geno, Bailey and Austin were the only things that made WVUs season a success.

Not when you break down the film and account for it.

I don't really look at WR screens a whole lot when evaluating a QB other than to see if the ball gets there with good zip, is in front of the receiver, and the QB executes the play correctly while also examining the QBs footwork.

Additionally, ball placement is something that nobody talks about but is pretty ****ing important in executing any kind of screen play properly.
