So, by this are you saying that keeping Houston at DE and moving Tamba to either the Will or Sam pos is plausible?

Because it isn't. Houston is a SAM in the 4-3 for most philosophies.

I would prefer we stayed with the 3-4 (more agressive, of course), but our defense isn't good enough for me to be too bothered if we switched to a 4-3.

Thats a pretty good 4-3 DL.
If we go to the 4-3 I would like to see Justin Houston play the same position Von Miller does. I think he'd be a good fit.

I'd like to see us sign a guy like Cliff Avril or go after Osi Umenyiora.

I think the 4-3 could be good for Tyson Jackson and Dontari Poe. Those guys can be good run stuffers and I think lining those guys up in the A gap would bring good results up the middle.

So your argument is that because McCluster has a better TD to TO ratio than Matt Cassel this year, McCluster is a "playmaker" and a keeper?

The only way you can spin McCluster as a "playmaker" is to compare him to Matt Freaking Cassel? Why don't you compare him to Mark Sanchez??

And for the record McCluster had 1 TD and 2 Turnovers this year.

That would again be consistent with his career ratio of having twice the # of turnovers as TD's.

Another fail on your part.

No, Tamba is the only one of the two that can play the DE position effectively in the 3-4. And I don't want us to go to a ****ing 4-3, we don't have the players to do it.

Are you guys surprised by the lack of intelligence from a person who thinks the Chiefs should draft a ILB #1 just because he's the "consensus best ILB?"

Exoter's argument for why McCluster is a good player: He has less turnovers than Matt Cassel.

That is quite funny.

What in the ****ing ****? No he can't. He isn't a 5, 4, and 3 tech player. He's a 7/9 off the edge as an OLB. He can't be a 3-4 DE.

Looks like Ron Wolf is advising Spanos on his hires in San Diego. Perhaps if they are interested in Reid, it is because of Wolf:

Quote:
Wolf oversaw Green Bay when Mike Holmgren and Mike Sherman were hired as head coaches.

He said the key to make the best hire is interviewing as many candidates as possible, waiting for the one who steps in and "just knocks your socks off."

"That happened to me a couple of times," Wolf said. "It should have happened to me one more time. I had the guy right there, and I was too stupid to realize what I was hearing."

The guy?

Former Eagles coach Andy Reid.

No, I'm not using the comparison to Cassel as my basis, I didn't even use TD:TO ratios as a basis for comparison.

TD:TO comparisons aren't even a measurable science for a guy in his position, the only measurable is how he's used, when he's used, and what he does with the ball when he's used. A 1:2 TD:TO ratio this year isn't tragic considering the state of the Chiefs which you idiots seem to keep forgetting he plays for. I mean, how many TD's did we score this year all total that weren't rushing TD's?

LAUGHABLE, yet you guys have yet to compare McCluster to the rest of the Chiefs like I asked you to.

Scared?
