Watching the quarterbacks
Among the 3 quarterbacks on the roster, the guy who threw the ball best on Thursday was Brady Quinn. He appears to have solid mechanics in his drop and has smoothed out some rough edges that were visible in his motion going back to Notre Dame. Matt Cassel threw several nice passes, but he was high on his throws during much of the session. Ricky Stanzi was OK. @Iowa homers.

“I think they’re beginning to gain a command of the system and some of the checks that we have in place,” Crennel said. “They’re all doing well. Probably, Brady and Matt are a little ahead of Stanzi right now, but they’re all working at it. They’re a good group in that room, so we feel good about them.”

What does this matter? What are LeGree's numbers with the Chiefs?

Quinn has done nothing for 5 years and I don't expect him to start producing now. All the coaching staffs he's been through thought he was a backup quarterback and I'm not inclined to think otherwise. Especially since the best QB he's had to beat out was Kyle Orton. If he wasn't exceptionally better than Orton then I don't see what all the hoopla is about.

He was lousy when he was in. The only times the Browns won with him in there was when they didn't have to depend on him to do anything. Sound familiar? Every stat is lousy, completion percentage, ypa. He spent the last two years on the bench with no attempts. Two different Denver head coaches gave Tim Tebow a shot before they would trust Quinn.
