Make a Splash!?

Certainly some areas where depth is needed, but this is the first time in years I recall feeling so confident in our roster. There are a lot of directions we can go in the draft, BPA is a real possibility for us.

So with that said: Who do your feel the Chiefs could grab in the draft, or via a trade that would really make an impact?

Who's that guy for you? What's the scenario? The trade? ...what will it take to get us a standout that will take us over the edge?

Lol since when do a majority of nfl jock prospects know how to cook at 21 years old? That's the norm, not the exception.

If you draft him you better make sure he shares an apartment or something with an establish guy. Veteran can calm the situation down and point him in the right direction.

If you can't warm up noodles you'll have to pay guys like the Cowboys did to babysit White.

No thanks...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

"He is too young (20) to be coming out but he is so you've got to project what he's going to be. I think he's going to be a pretty high-level starter."

Started 27 games, finishing with 86 tackles (7 ½ for loss), 4 picks and 18 PBUs. "Some there (OSU) were worried he wouldn't break 4.6 and then popped the (4.39)," said another scout. "They were surprised he ran that well. I worry about him because of off-the-field issues. The kid has no life skills. At all. Can't cook. Just a baby. He's not first round for me. He scares me to death." Wonderlic was 21. "He probably has as much talent as anybody but he, like a lot of those Ohio State guys, is inconsistent," said a third scout. "He squats, and receivers run by him. He's more in catch-up mode than reaction mode. He bothers me a little bit."
He had one of the higher wonderlic scores of the cbs I read about

I'm thinking maybe teams end up taking more QB's in the first than expected and some really good talent at CB, WR, DT falls to us at 28.

I think all the WR and CB start dropping so all the fans of Kansas City get excited. They start counting draft picks vs WR/CB left and declare 'there is almost no way we can't get a good one"

Then there is a run on both positions and all the 1st round quality WR and CB are gone when we pick.

The Chiefs take ever second of their clock time trying to trade down. We can't trade down so we draft Dee Ford err .... a defense lineman instead.
