ESPN Playoff Machine: Pick the playoff seedings

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine

I tried my best to be rational and thoughtful for every game and came up with an interesting scenario that as far as anybody's guess goes is my most likely outcome:

AFC:
1. New England (12-4)
2. Denver (12-4)
3. Indianapolis (10-6)
4. Cincinnati (9-7)
5. Kansas City (12-4)
6. Miami (9-7)

NFC:
1. New Orleans (12-4)
2. Seattle (12-4)
3. Dallas (10-6)
4. Green Bay (9-6-1)
5. Carolina (11-5)
6. Arizona (10-6)

Maybe we take a guy like Poe and limit his snaps. But I'm not interested in resting any players save the guys who need it like Hali or perhaps Charles.

@ WAS / @ OAK / IND / @ SD

Three road games, 2 will be somewhat difficult and after losing the last 2 in Arrowhead, there's no way KC wants to end with a 3rd straight home loss and another conference loss.
What I mean is that, just like for Indy, it will be a vanilla game for the Chiefs, assuming they can't change their seeding and are almost locked into playing the Colts again. There is really no point in making any type of complex game plan or really showing how you intend to play them if you know you will have a much bigger game in two weeks with them. Will they try to win from an effort standpoint? Sure, but I doubt they try very hard from a scheme and gameplan standpoint.

Oh, I get it and don't really disagree with the notion, but I just think it fails when teams do that... do what you need to do to win and then change things the next time around. Sometimes coaches can get too cute with the over-thinking... just focus on winning, don't get too elaborate, but win the game and give the other team something to think about if the rematch happens.

I do think the morale thing has a lot of importance though. You don't want to head into the playoffs with losses against all the winning teams. You want the players believing they can beat anyone, losing to a depleted IND team at home to close out would be a blow I think. Could be wrong.

I can still get Jacksonville in. That's all that matters. Seven-way tie for the last spot at 7-9, JAX wins the tiebreaker.

We can dream.

Each week that the donks play some average team it seems like its always close until the 4th quarter. Then Denver pulls away by scoring 3 unanswered TDs.

Yep, we can hope

Sure, and KC could lose all 3 remaining games...

Tell me, which 2 of the 3 will they lose?

Odd fact: IIRC all the teams that picked in the top 5 in this past draft are still alive for a playoff spot in week 14.

Is that a first?...

So the Seahawks don't have 2 losses in your world?

I don't see them losing a game.

I can see the Chargers giving them a scare though...

They can score and I would imagine it's something like another 10-17 point win for Denver. Should be a fun game and another cold one.

I hope so.

I had 3 injuries last week and I'm starting 4 Chargers in my fantasy playoffs...

I hate FF. Used to love it but it was killing my gameday experience.
