Sign up here for the All Time NBA Draft.

Welcome, lovers of basketball.

I'm going to do something that may fizzle out, but I've had ideas of doing for about a year now.

I would like eight Planeteers passionate enough about NBA basketball and the league's history to sign up for an All Time NBA Draft. Sixteen planeteers, if the energy is there for it.

We'll do it right here on the board. Sign up in this thread, in a little while, I'll create the draft order randomly, and you will have the ability to select 10 players each. You can draft any player in the history of the league. All will be assumed to be at the height of their talents.

You'll assemble your rosters however you want, and we'll have a Rain Man style tournament where all eight of you will be sized up against one another in a March Madness style tournament until one winner's All Time NBA roster reigns.

It'll be a snake draft, i.e. the 8th drafter gets to draft twice consecutively.

We'll see if there's interest for this. And we'll go from there.

I'd definitely go Bob Pettit over McHale all day long at PF. And where is Pete Maravich and John Havlecik?

I'll do it, I'm just going to pick Jordan, Wilt, LeBron, Durant, & Oscar Robertson though. No Kobe, definitely not Kobe.

I'll keep this up for the rest of the day.

If we get to 16, we'll make it 16 participants.

If we do not get to 16, then we'll consider everybody from (9.) down to be alternates.
