If not #1, where?

The draftniks keep saying that Geno Smith isn't worth the #1 pick.
None of them say he isn't the top QB in the class though.
If we don't take him at #1 how far is he realistically going to fall?

I see no scenario where he falls out of the Top 10.

So if he's the top QB in a weak class...
QB is our biggest need...
And he's gonna go Top 10 anyway...

Why not at #1?

Am I wrong to say he won't fall out of the Top 10?

Discuss...

Same shit different year.

Every year for the Chiefs its been "Wait til next year. The draft class is going to be stacked!" Then the draft class comes around and its "Wait til next year. The draft class is going to be stacked!"

We missed out on the "stacked" year by 365 days.

This.

I can't believe the "wait till next year" argument even exists. And who the hell is coming out next year that is suppose to be so great?

And what makes anyone think that we'll even be in a position to draft whatever QB that is?

And even with that list I still have players I didn't include, guys like G.Gilbert, C.Pachall, K.Price, and even B.Miller as a wild card (Hell even J.Manziel, though i'm not fully sold on the fact that he'll be able to make the transition)
----------
With that said, Bridgewater would undoubtedly go first overall if he were to declare this year (TrueSoph btw)
I'd put Fales just a bit behind him, but he too, would probably get picked #1 this year.
Brett Smith is good enough to have been able to challenge Geno for the #1 QB spot this year.

2 of your top 3 will be juniors and the rest is the most underwhelming "stack" ever.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Your first question: Teddy Bridgewater
Your second: It'd still be interesting to see what Reid does with Cassel. If you're not in position to draft said QB next year then chances are you'd be either 5 wins better than you were a year ago, at 500, or above 500. Anything less than that, and you'd be able to draft either Bridgewater, Fales, or Brett Smith.

I think it's easy to say "wait til next year" because it's not as scary to them. We can just plug someone in and see if they are just good enough to get by.

At heart, a good percent of Chiefs fans are true fans.

Love when people take the cop out of trade down.

Ok, trade down. Who's trading up? Who are they trading up for?
