Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Yeah I'm done piling up single issues these days unless it's a series I really really really need to read ASAP. Otherwise I'll just buy (or not buy) them digitally and wait for the TPB or hardcover.

Meh it's just Miller & DC milking the cow (Beyond Watchmen anyone?). Absolutely no reason for even the sequel he did way back when which was a flop, this time he's not even drawing and he wants to do even more books for it afterward... ridiculous.

DK3 won't compare to DKR, but I'm willing to not grade it on that curve since Frank already broke the "artistic integrity" seal with DK2. I just wish the art wasn't so generic that I think I actively hate it.

I'm to the point where I'm only going to have like 3-5 books that are on my pull list and I'm seriously considering just switching to TPB.
I do buy quite a few back issues though and I find that when my pull list was huge and I was spending $100 a month on new books I wasn't buying any back issues. I cut my pull and always try to pick up and older book every week. It's fun to build old runs ( Byrne X-men, Simonson Fantastic FOur stuff like that)

Just finished reading SuperMan: Earth One for the first time. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Great story, and Seth Davis' work is outstanding. Do we ever find out who the person is that gave the Dherons the tech to destroy Krypton (I liked that part of the story as well. Krypton was essentially assassinated by their warring neighbor planet), and WHY he wanted Krypton and all the Kryptonians dead?

I did the same thing. I have lots of mostly worthless shit like #1 issues from Image comics, bagged issues and limited edition covers. A few things that aren't totally worthless, but overall it's not pretty. Everyone in the 90's was speculating thinking that stuff would be worth something, but they sold so many that there are warehouses full of that crap. Like the death of Superman bagged issues.

I'm not really sure who Rick and Morty are, but there has been a line of people wrapped around my building for 5 or so hours now for some event at a comic book store 2 blocks away. Has to be a thousand people lined up. I think they're heading to KC tomorrow.

Great Adult animated show on Cartoon Network.

Funny as hell on a Family Guy/surface level but the more you watch the more you realize the deep arguments/philosophy/commentary they're making on life...
