So: San Francisco will probably have first-, second- and four third-rounders next year. But if the Chiefs surprise, it'll more likely be a one, two twos and three threes. As we've seen, GM Trent Baalke is dangerous with extra picks in his hands. If Colin Kaepernick is very good, the Niners should be annual contenders for years with the picks laid out that way.

The Raiders had no choice. They had to go cheap and for th future after going "win-now" only giving up more for Carson Palmer. They aren't doing your made up win-big thing.

Alex Smith had a very good 2011, but why do people act like his 2012 season was anything special? He had 5 interceptions through 8 games and 218 attempts. Gabbert, Foles, and Kolb all had lower interception rates.

Because the Alexsexuals hang their hats on QB efficiency, not QB production.

They never want to talk about QB passing TDs or total passing yards or 3rd down conversions or red zone TDs.

The be-all and end-all for the Alexsexual is a passer rating over 100 and a 70% completion ratio with few interceptions. Actually producing yards and TDs passing with that efficiency is something they either don't value or conveniently refuse to discuss.

Efficiency without production is worth little.
