I wouldn't know, just a hunch. I don't work at the KU ticket office. I'm sure they'll let you know when ticket sales become an issue so you can inform us all here in this thread.

When I go to McDonalds here in New York a #3 costs me nearly $10.

In Lawrence, KS it doesn't cost me nearly that much. But it sure tastes the same.

Ten bucks? You could get two tickets to the home opener with a couple bucks left over for that. Not a bad deal, really. I mean, the fries are pretty good.

Add in another $5 and I'm going to Mizzou's home opener as well. Everyone wins!

Dude, when it's basketball season and you see a crowd of 3500 for your game against A&M in South Carolina, then I want to hear you bitch.

Could you imagine the extra cash we could demand for that setup? That's a ratings bonanza ESPN couldn't refuse.
That would be amazing, especially if ND stays INDY in all this.

Good thing to because many of us were scared shitless when hapless Turner Gill was beating you at halftime. Thank God that didn't end up staying true. I can't go another year with Gill and his circus.

But if it never happens I'd be completely fine with it. Missouri chose to leave the conference and end the series. I'm just saying that if this completely dreamed up scenario that HH has made actually happened that the best economical setup would be to pit KU against MU. Doesn't matter much to me either way.
So they are going to sell out all their home games this year then?

Championship game tickets aren't cheap.

But I wouldn't worry, if Weis can get the team back to its winning ways I'm sure the sell out crowds that packed Memorial Stadium will be back in no time. He has to prove himself first, that's how it works in sports generally.

1. Winning ways? KU had one magical season in which they played no one good and dodged the major powers in the Big XII (except Mizzou whom they were summarily abused by). What winning ways do you speak of?

2. Weis was a failure at ND where he had access to superior resources in every way over KU, yet he will somehow succeed at KU? Heck he already failed to recruit the top football player in Kansas. Keep hoping Weis works the impossible, especially in a Big XII that you say is stronger now minus Mizzou and aTm and with the additions of WVU and TCU because in football all a KU fan has is hope.

1. MU did not abuse KU that game. It was a one possesion game until the safety ended it.
2. If Weis does what he did at ND that will be a success. And he does good recruiting QBs. All it takes is a good one to be decent again.

Don't get so worked up. They haven't even played a game yet.

Weis went to two BCS games while at Notre Dame. People have this delusion of what Notre Dame is on the field. They will NEVER contend for the NC with their academic requirements. Jesus himself coaching the team wouldn't change that.

What they need to do is start buying players and drop pretty much all academic standards ala the SEC if they hope to get back in the big time.

But he won't. KU won't come even close to snagging the kind of talent ND did. That is why ol' Charlie was able to do what he did there although by ND standards equals failure. The Big XII is tough, he won't compete there, but keep hoping.

You are not serious right? Nothing you post could even mildly get me "worked up".
