My "Pest is going crazy" mock draft...

Assumptions:

Chiefs sign Albert to a long term deal.
Jeff Allen starts at RT, Asamoah moves to LG, Schwartz starts at RG.

We get a 3rd round comp pick for Carr.

I'm not going to go full on crazy and draft Geno Smith at 1.1 like I think they should. There is a legit possibility of it....but we won't go there.

The Eagles trade up to #1.....giving us the #4 pick, #35 pick and their 2nd round pick in 2014. The Eagles draft Geno Smith, QB.

The Rams trade up to #4....giving us the #16 pick and #22 pick. The Rams take Luke Joeckel, OT.

1. (#16) - Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU - Tamba Hali is 30 and not getting any younger. We're going to need someone to give him a breather during games and eventually replace him.

1. (#22) - Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame - Dual ND TE sets FTW! Seriously though....we can't count on Moeaki. Fasano and Eifert would give Alex Smith his security blanket times two.

2. (#35) - Margus Hunt, DE, SMU - This team needs d-line help that can rush the passer. Hunt can rotate in for the 1st year and then take over for Tyson Jackson next year after he's gone.

3. (#63) - Matt Scott, QB, Arizona - Reid grabs his QBoTF to groom behind Smith. Smith can play out the rest of his contract and Scott will be ready to go in 2014/2015.

3. (comp) - Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech - Raw as hell but now's the time to get that #2 next to Bowe. I still believe that Baldwin has the potential....but why not grab a playmaker when you can.

4. (#96) - Jon Bostic, ILB, Florida - I'm not 100% sure if he'll fall here....but from most of the mock drafts I've seen....he does. I'd grab him in the 3rd if he's there. Flip flop the Rogers/Bostic picks if you want.

5. (#127) - Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina - More ILB help. This team has jack shit behind Derrick Johnson.

6 - Mario Benavides, C, Louisville

7 - Theo Riddick, RB, Notre Dame

Think Bostic is most likely gone by then.. but, that would make for a great draft.

Would love to get Rogers at this spot. Not so much raw (was the starting WR at Tennesee) as he is stupid (kicked of team for dope).

Better QBs than Scott should be available at 63. JMO.

It's too bad a better QB isn't available at 1.1.

Nice job, Pest!

I'd swap Bostic and Scott. Not a fan of Da'Rick because his hands just aren't too soft but I like the rest.

This has been my favorite trade down scenario if a trade down is the direction we go. I'd probably go with different players, but that is no big thing.

But as of right now, I am still leaning towards keeping that #1 overall and going Geno.

Spending a #1 and a #2 draft pick in one draft to fix the QB position doesn't seem all that out of wack to me. It's probably going to cost far more than that in a couple of years if we still need to upgrade that position.

No trade down? I'm going all in on Geno.

1. Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia

3. Jamie Collins, OLB, Southern Miss
4. Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
5. Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama
6. Joe Kruger, DE, Utah
6. A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa State
7. Theo Riddick, RB, Notre Dame

Pest, I like both versions. Either one is full of WIN for KC. I sense some Notre Dame love.

IMO....Theo Riddick is the perfect RB for an Andy Reid system. Converted WR who can run between the tackles and catch out of the backfield.

And our offensive line would be.

Albert - Asamoah - Jones - Schwartz - Allen

Stephenson is our swing tackle. Hudson gets more time to recover and see if he can even come back from his injury.
