Got this on Phog.net. Whenever KSU fans give us crap about supposedly not supporting our football program, we can always point to this.

I think Self plans on Mason being our starting PG eventually.

Didn't take long for Tarik Black to ride the pine.

didn't realize that Selden played 37 minutes ... that's a lot for the 1st game

Landen Lucas to redshirt?

Lucas got minutes in the Duke game. He came in for a FT.

I think Mason should start PG right now. Tharpe looked like a dumbass on several plays. I was far more impressed with Mason. Other than perhaps killing himself taking on big ****ers like that, the dude is an animal.

Black will probably get more minutes with a team with bigs. Provided he can go 3 seconds without fouling. I expected that.

Very impressed with Selden. He looked very very good.

Self really likes Tharpe, so I think he'll count on him being the starting PG until he's gone.

Black rode the pine early because A) he was in foul trouble and B) he didn't match up well with the smaller, faster Duke team

Lucas redshirted last year.

So basically . . . no to everything you said.

He came in for a freethrow rebound. Maybe it wasn't enough to register minutes but I remember him coming in and my buddy asked "who the **** is that?"

I'm kind of surprised. I know it is only one game, but I really thought Lucas played well in exhibition. I can't remember what he did against Monroe.

Black will be 5 fouls against teams with bigs. That's worth something, especially now that the NCAA has turned into even more of a foulfest. But Ellis, Embiid, and Traylor are all better than him.

Self likes experience over youthful talent early in the season. Tharpe isn't going anywhere for awhile.

Mason looks more like a guy who can dribble into the lane and draw fouls, so hopefully he will get plenty of time.

However Self might like his as more of a spark off the bench, a la Sherron as the backup to RussRobb.

But I thought only shitty teams playing top seeds in the NCAA tournament is the only way to get ratings?! Four big programs getting high ratingas despite any david vs goliath upsets. Im SHOCKED just shocked I tell you

That's a defense mechanism used by Mizzou and KSU fans to try to tear down Kansas basketball. You have to look at it from their view: what can they really say? They have to come up with all sorts of weird conspiracies to explain Kansas dominance, to cope with the pain.
