So I'm hopping a freighter to China...

Well, actually Vietnam. But I'll make a stop in China.

It just seemed like the thing to do. I'm in Oakland now waiting as they load cargo. I'm the only passenger on a 1,000 foot ship for the next 19 days.

Here's my ship: http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...:CMA_CGM_RHONE. I got whisked aboard before I could take an exterior photo.

Since I'm the only passenger, I get the owner's cabin on the top deck. Here are a few pictures of my cabin area. I also have the use of a lounge on another floor, and I can share the crew's gym.

So if anybody needs me, I won't be around for the next few weeks as I sail my private 1,000 foot yacht across the Pacific.

The last time I went to sea, coincidentally right around where Rain Man is going, a 20+ year US NAVY veteran Chief Petty Officer was lost at sea at night from an aircraft carrier. His body was never found.
I see. Thank you.

BTW where is that spot?

Do you have a diagram? <---asked only because of Sauto.

Near the Aleutians. We were in the Bering Sea when it happened (as I recall) but I doubt that he's going that far North.

What do you mean NSFW. Every place I ever worked would enjoy this and watch it in full. In fact we'd probably shut every thing down and bring everyone in for a meeting to discuss.

Oh, hey, be careful to avoid a visit from the Ether Bunny on your trip since it's that time of year.

Indeed.....But look for a warthog instead..but seriously folks...I STILL have nightmares about the A Shau Valley. You know, come to think of it, try getting there and tell me what it looks like these days. Back in the day - it was pure, unadulterated EVIL...
