Are we talking soundtrack or score?
For score The Dark Knight and Tron: Legacy. Then of course the staples superman theme, Star Wars theme. For soundtrack The Crow

I'm a huge fan of Vangelis.
He's well known for Blade Runner but his scores for Alexander and 1492 are excellent.

I still listen to that from time to time.
I still like the Strange Days soundtrack as well. Singles isn't just one of my favorites but one of the most influential of all time. Love or hate grunge it was the sample platter that helped launch it. And Requiem For A Dream has one of the most recognized and used pieces ever. As soon as you hear the first few notes of Lux Aeterna you know something horrible is about to happen.
