['Hamas' Jenkins]

We have two things to look forward to this year:

1) The potential beginning of the Maty Mauk Era. Mauk represents the best chance for this program to get back to a level of respectability after horrendous QB play cost us multiple games last year.

2) The last year of the Gary Pinkel era. Pinkel's entrenched cronyism won't play in a conference this competitive, especially if he couples his abysmal gameday coaching with lackadaisical, worst-in-conference recruiting. Pinkel was the formerly adequate meal that has now turned into a four pound bowel obstruction. It's time to jam a Fleet's enema up our collective asses.

Here is the schedule. We dodge Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas in the west and the Non-con is decidedly weaker than years past.

Looks like 6-6. Undefeated in non-con, 2-6 in league play.

I will eventually update the OP with a list of high profile in-state recruits that decide to go elsewhere after a half-assed attempt to gain their services. The inevitable cavalcade of *** rejects, skeezers, skanks, and scalliwags we get will fill out the ranks.

Kentucky will be the worst FBS team we play all year. Baylor at Kansas was my lock of the year. Mizzou minus the points Kentucky is a close second. 41-13, and it's only that close because we get conservative like we did against Tennessee. (We could have hung 45 on the Vols if we wanted to.)

In Oxford, they'll be even tougher.

I'm as worried about them on the road as I am A&M at home. Maybe more so (though watching the TN QB miss wide open TDs that Manziel would've hit has me pretty nervous about A&M as well).

Me too. ole Miss is going to be tough. As for the A&M game I'm not just scared of Manziel, Mike evans will probably kill us, that dude is unreal.

Yeah, it's concerning, but I'll still take the chance with it.

In other news, South Carolina offered WR Nate Brown, who probably is the best player in this recruiting class.

I realized that we let up on Tennessee a bit, but I didn't recognize at the time just how much...

From the mid-point of the third quarter, we ran the ball 20 times while throwing three passes (completing one for 13 yards).

We threw 25 times and ran 54 times.

Mauk alone had 20 more rushing yards than Tennessee had as a team.

Tennessee's leading rusher had 45 yards. Marcus Murphy had 44 rushing yards...he was our fourth leading rusher.

I give Pinkel and Gabe DeArmond a fair amount of grief - but that story of the kid that dressed up like Pinkel and his game day experience is pretty cool.

I agree w/ him.

It's possible.

All he said was "can", not will, or is probable/likely.

Let's say the team that screwed around w/ Toledo & Arkansas State shows up.

Let's also consider that Mauk's only completing 48-49% of his passes. If he has a bad game relative to what he's done so far and you throw in some unlucky bounces or whatever and the possibility for a game w/ multiple turnovers and stalled drives and that'll keep a dog like UK hanging around. And if that happens you never know.

MU's a 2 td favorite. It would be a big upset. I don't expect it to happen.
