Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Hey. He knows a franchise QB when he sees one. He once met Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah, next year's class does look freakin' horrendous. Especially if Bray and Murray declare. Tajh Boyd and Logan Thomas will be the 'risers' in the class and Mettenberger's likely to be considered the 'Landry Jones memorial pocket stiff backed by an elite supporting cast' award winner.

Put Bray and Murray in there and you at least have yourself a Stafford/Sanchez duo at the top. Otherwise that is just a trainwreck of a class.

All the more reason we need to pull the trigger this year.

Because next year even the draftabulators won't want to pick a QB.

Why would we want a QB when we've already got a franchise guy in Geno?

After we take Geno, the roles of the universe are going to be turned completely upside down. Drafturbators will want all kinds of offensive linemen, WRs, and fat hogs on the defensive line and the true fans who secretly hate the idea of a black QB who makes a pouty face as the leader of their favorite team will want to scour the draft in all rounds looking for possible replacements.

People would honestly begin to wonder if Sacopoo murdered me and stole my screen name.

I will go balls to the walls on D-lineman at that point. Though I may also pursue a TE...again a drafturbator no-no.

It really will be hilarious to see where the loudest 'quarterback' voices go.

We'll all be talking DL next year because our DL talent is shit. When Poe is the bright spot you're in trouble.

If we stay in a 3-4 and continue to chase defensive linemen, we're the dumbest organization in football.

We'll have more than enough needs in terms of CB, WR, S, LT (when Albert walks) to keep us occupied for some time.

Thanks, Pioli.

Wow. I'm actually kind of excited to see this.

Alliances and coalitions have remained roughly the same ever since Trent Green got traded away. Once Geno Smith is drafted, none of that shit will exist.

For all I know, I'll join forces with Reerun, Laz, and Blackbob and oppose whatever it is milkman, BossChief, and the Talking Can think is best.

Weeeeeeiiiiiird.

If we stay in a 3-4 but switch to a 1-gap, we need to jettison every D-lineman we have except for Poe, Powe and maybe Bailey. Oh, and all three of those guys might actually suck.

Sorry man, the chaff we have on that line already are sunk costs. We'll have to go CB high this year and safety can be had in the 2nd or 3rd pretty easily. LT had goddamn well better not be an issue...that's all I have to say about that.

The bottom line is that the D-Line is the area where improvement will make the largest differences on this roster. We need some guys that can actually do more than 1 thing well down there unless we want to stick with this antiquated 2-gap bullshit.

God help us if we do.
