Don't believe there's a dedicated thread, and since they're starting to release information now, I figure it's time for one.

Jesus, this day is freaking useless. I can't seem to do anything but surf the web to see if anybody's gotten their emails yet.

Oh, great, I go and check my email and there's an email from the ****ers entitled "Check your deployment status".

It's about guilds.

That's just cruel.

Yeah, I got the guild deployment confirmation earlier and my first thought was "REPOST".

If you don't get an email by tomorrow morning, I would definitely try the launcher to see if you get in. Their emails seem to be a few hours late.

If I was on the marketing department I would do this:

email title: It's That Time!!!!

Inside email: To Check your deployment status for your guild

If anyone has links to a livestream of people playing, I'd appreciate it. The youtube videos I watched of some beta stuff weren't enough for me to decide if I want it or not.

I was on the fence about this game, not sure if I wanted to play out.
However, after taking a step back, in a way, I like how you are going to "develop" your character(s), as compared to other MMO's. I may be wrong, but I have a feeling, TOR is going to be different. At least, I hope so.

What kind of stuff do you want to watch, Buck? Flashpoints? Solo play? PvP? Space Combat? What?

It has been for me the 3 times I've played it. It feels like an RPG rather than an MMO. Like you're playing a character rather than leveling an avatar so you can do endgame.

And that was true for me whether I was playing solo or grouped. I really loved the group conversation system. I thought at the time that the Black Talon may have been the most fun, most enjoyable instance that I'd ever played in any game up to that point, and a large part of that was the story progression through it, as well as rolling against my friends for certain cinematic events.

See, hearing that feedback, gets my excited about it. If TOR nails this, a blend between MMO and RPG, this game is going to be stellar, for a long time...

Glad I pre-ordered.

Never played MMOs before so not really sure what most of that is, but I want to watch a group of guys taking on one goal together. I hope that makes sense.

Alright, that would be a flashpoint. Give me a minute to dig up something.

Okay, this may not make any sense to you in terms of what the players are all doing, but this is the end boss for one of the later-game instances, Directive 7 (level 47+ as I recall):

Speaking as an MMO vet, I like it because it involves everybody needing to be aware of what's going on...

And this is an hour-long live stream of the afore-mentioned Black Talon. I haven't watched this particular video, but I enjoyed the flashpoint and the guys talking at the beginning of the vid didn't sound too annoying.

If you're interested in doing group stuff, in my experience (I've played a couple of these games over the years) that often has a lot more to do with who you're playing with as opposed to which game. Other players really can make the game in MMOs. So if you do decide to play you'll have to get out and meet some people ingame.

But, that said, I really enjoy everything I've done in TOR...
