Again, this is a wonderful game - much like the original, only much more expansive.

I know that Fallout 3 doesn't contain multiplayer.

I was referring to Fable II.

as mentioned: i already have fallout 3 preordered but haven't picked up Fable yet

I'm the same. I don't really have the time to pour 100+ hours into Fallout 3 at the moment. Fable 2 is quite a bit of fun.

I just don't get the love for RPGs at all. They seem extremely boring.

I just meant that you can play multiplayer in Fable 2. But I haven't, nor am I likely to.

I tried FF VII and hated it. Bored me to death. Plus I hate turn based crap.

There are a couple others but for the life of me I can't remember the names. They left that bad of an impression on me.

Oh god.. man you're talking about JRPGs... I ****ing HATE turn based games.. will not play them. I make fun of everybody that enjoys Blue Dragon and even Lost Odyssey.

edit: I even put down Kingdom Hearts in my first playthrough (****ing search quests). I'm very selective on my RPGS but I certainly don't avoid the genre all together. They do require a lot of your time though.

I need to just borrow this Fable from someone when they are done. I don't like to feel like I threw money away if I hate something. Which is why I don't rent either.

JRPGs, Persona series and a few other exceptions notwithstanding, are boring as ****.

This is so so so so true. Fable 2 is like someone took my favorite types of games and blended them into one. The only thing I really could ask for would be branching dialogue and a less sluggish menu system (hopefully the HD installations will take care of some of that). Everything else is ****ing fantastic.

FF is not a good game to base your impression of rpgs on. Slow, boring, tedious gameplay, stupid (and convoluted) story. No thanks.
