This is my neighbors 70 foot oak tree that now resides in our pool. Destroyed the pool and the screen enclosure. Also took out our den windows and some siding. Our satellite dish looks like taco now. We were 160 miles from the closest the eye of the storm got to us. Fortunately we removed a bigger tree two months ago that was 30 feet closer and would've flattened our house. **** Irma.

Check the breaker. Check the thermostat. There isn't much else you can do.

Probably need to give a little more detail. What are you able to do with it and what does it exactly do? Do you hear it kick on but it doesn't cool? Does it not turn on at all?

NOAA is mapping the Keys and you can zoom in and see what kind of damage an area took from overhead. Thankfully my brothers place in Marathon still has a roof! A lot of other places, not so much. Big Pine and Cudjoe key should be mapped out by tomorrow, if not today. That is where the eye hit, particularly Cudjoe.

I have no idea how to answer those but will try. The outside unit has no sound. It does not cool at all.

Checked thermostat. ( see above) Didn't check breaker. Someone coming over to look first. Then I'll start a thread...and/or have to call a AC repair man. If I need a new one, I hope I can claim the storm as it will place my damages overall above the deductible.
